The King County Superior Court-adopted local rules imposing discovery limits in civil proceedings (LR 26 and LR 33) went into effect on September 1, 2005. Pursuant to General Administrative Order signed September 21, 2005, these new discovery rule provisions apply only to those cases filed on or after September 1, 2005. The discovery limits do not apply to family law proceedings or post-judgment civil proceedings.
