Volunteer Positions           Online Application            Volunteer Brochure            Volunteer Programs

Our volunteers are essential in making the pro bono programs possible. With over 1,200 attorneys, paralegals, students, and community members volunteering, we are able to serve over 10,000 clients a year. As a KCBA volunteer, you are a representative of Pro Bono Services and are an important part of our team.

“Volunteering for the KCBA's pro bono programs has given me the opportunity to help low-income people access that promised democratic principle of justice for all, not just those who can afford it. Clients emerge with their rights restored, their voices heard, and their faith in the justice system renewed — and being a part of that process is satisfying beyond words.”

Joanna Plichta Boisen

Pro Bono Counsel, Foster Pepper PLLC

The volunteer orientation is your opportunity to learn more about KCBA’s Pro Bono Services programs, policies, and procedures. We will go over the details of volunteer requirements, commitments, additional trainings, and legal resources in King County. These sessions are generally held the first Wednesday of the month at the KCBA Office (1200 5th Ave, Suite 600, Seattle) from 5 - 6 p.m.  Please sign up for an orientation when you apply online.

We welcome inquiries about our programs and hope you consider applying for a volunteer position. For questions not answered here, please e-mail us at ToVolunteer@KCBA.org.
