Family Law

Our Family Law programs include the Family Law Mentor Program , the Self Help-Plus Program and the Kinship Care Solutions Project . These programs assist clients with the following legal issues: contested dissolutions, parentage cases and  petitions to establish parenting plans where children are at risk, noncontested dissolutions and petitions to establish a parenting plan, and nonparental custody (third party custody) cases.

Community Services

Community Services includes the Neighborhood Legal Clinics (NLC) and Volunteer Legal Services (VLS). NLC offers individuals a free 30 minute consultation with an attorney. Attorneys determine whether the client has a legal problem, suggest possible options, and provide appropriate referrals. Volunteer Legal Services (VLS) offers eligible clients direct representation with the following civil legal issues: Chapter 7 bankruptcy, vacating criminal records, SSI/SSDI overpayments, estate planning, and debt defense.
