August 2008 Bar Bulletin

Bar Talk

By Karen Sutherland

Ah, August; the height of tourist season. As a downtown denizen, I spend a lot of time answering tourist questions. In case you’re curious, here are my top 5 tourist FAQs:

  • Where is Pike’s [sic] Market?
  • Where is the original Starbucks?
  • Where do they throw the fish?
  • Does the Monorail go to the airport?
  • Do you know Dale Chihuly?

If you’ve ever been asked anything really strange by a tourist, drop me an email and I will run it in a future column if it is interesting enough.
