On April 25, KCBA hosted seven representatives from the Armenian NGO It’s Your Choice as part of a two-week tour of Washing-ton organizations involved in candidate rating and evaluation.
The study tour is sponsored by the United States Agency for International Development. The participants hope to use the information learned during their visit to improve their system of rating and reporting on the performance and activities of the Armenian National Assembly Deputies.
Andy Maron of the KCBA Judicial Evaluation Committee and David Koch, Raegen Rasnic and Melissa Mager of the Judicial Screening Committee described KCBA efforts to improve the quality of the judiciary through the attorney surveys and judicial rating processes in place. KCBA Executive Director Andrew Prazuch described the votingforjudges.org Web site, which presents nonpartisan information on judicial candidates for election to the superior and appellate courts in our state.
