You need to find a client who has failed to make an important meeting. You are looking for a witness to help your case along. You need to subpoena someone who seems to have disappeared.
If you have dealt with any of these types of questions recently, then you know it can be frustrating finding someone who doesn’t seem to leave a trail. Questions like these are routinely addressed in one of the library’s most popular training classes: Skiptracing.
In this class, our trainer talks about the various free and paid sites that are helpful in locating people who may not want to be found. The trouble with that wish is the number of areas where addresses and other identifiable information can show up.
New tools on the Internet are always popping up and it may be hard to know which ones to use. Some are more trusted sites, while others are mere fly-by-night operations.
Our class helps you decipher the Internet maze and find its valuable information. Experienced investigators comment that they learn something new each time they take the class.
The next session will be on Friday, April 18, from noon to 1:30 p.m. You can sign up for the class by contacting us at 206-296-0940.
National Library Week
The celebration of National Library Week runs April 13-18 in the Law Library. This year, we are celebrating “Discover your World @ the Library.” Our world, of course, includes the world of legal information. You can discover other events and classes by going to our Web site, www.kcll.org, for more information.
