GENDER EQUALITY IN THE LEGAL PROFESSION: This committee, also know as the Glass Ceiling Task Force, addresses gender and other minority issues. The committee provides resources to interested parties and collaborates with other committees and groups to further the integration of women and other minorities into the legal profession.

Activities: The committee has published results of its statewide survey on glass ceiling issues, developed a CLE for managing partners on successful integration of women and minorities into the legal profession, and distributed nationally a Resource Manual for legal employers. It is currently working in conjunction with the ABA, WSBA, Washington’s Diversity Initiative, law schools, in-house counsel and others to further awareness and plans to continue these collaborative and educational efforts.
