Fair Campaign Practices Committee: Considers complaints about unfair campaign practices in judicial election campaigns and recommends action to the Board of Trustees.
Activities: KCBA staff forward complaints about unfair campaign practices in judicial campaigns to the Committee Chair, who assigns the complaint to a member for investigation. A report is made within 2 business days after the investigation has been assigned and a meeting is held to determine if any unfair campaign practice has occurred. Committee recommendations may be referred to the KCBA Board of Trustees for further action.
Committee Chairperson: Members are appointed for 3-year terms, with 1/3rd of the committee members changing every year.
