DO YOU NEED A DIVORCE MEDIATOR IN SEATTLE?

Do you want to avoid litigation in your divorce?
Are there only a few points of dispute between you and your spouse?
Is it difficult to discuss the issues with your spouse?

Lawyer Referral Can Help

We can refer you to someone who is a qualified mediator, or to an attorney who practices collaborative family law.

A mediator assists your discussions over issues and helps you to reach an agreement that can then be reviewed by an attorney.

A collaborative law attorney works with your spouse’s attorney and the two of you to craft a divorce agreement in open discussions with a commitment not to use the process for litigation.

Either of these processes can help you avoid the extra stress and expense of having a divorce trial where the judge makes the decisions.

Does It Cost Anything?

For collaborative law attorneys, the first half hour is $35. Further services are between you and the attorney. For mediation, if your combined family income is modest, you may qualify to have the first three hours with the attorney at $100 per hour split between the two of you. Otherwise the fees will be the mediator’s regular fee.

How does it work?

Call us at 206-267-7010 between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday or use the web form to request a referral. The intake interviewer will ask you a few questions in order to find the best referral for you.

The King County Bar Lawyer Referral has won the American Bar Association award for lawyer referrals, and is the only referral service in the state of Washington that is certified by the ABA.
