In general, we help low-income King County residents or Washington State residents with legal issues in King County with civil (non-criminal) problems.
Generally, we will not help you sue another person or company. One exception would be if your employer did not pay you for hours you worked.

- Consumer Education and Training Services Program (CENTS) – CENTS is a financial literacy organization and a provider of money management classes and materials, including the financial education class required under the Bankruptcy Law.
- Family Law Mentor Program – The Family Law Mentor Program provides direct representation to low-income clients in contested dissolution or paternity cases where the children are at risk because of domestic violence, child abuse/neglect, or alcohol/drug abuse.
- Housing Justice Project – Volunteer attorneys give advice, negotiate, and provide limited representation to tenants facing eviction.
- Kinship Care Solutions Project – The Kinship Care Solutions Project provides free legal representation to relatives and other caregivers seeking custody (also known as third party custody) of children at risk.
- Legal Services for the Homeless – Volunteer attorneys provide advice at shelter-based legal clinics and representation for civil legal cases.
- Neighborhood Legal Clinics – Clinics are limited to advice and consultation only for anyone in King County with a volunteer attorney who will not provide on-going assistance.
- Newcomers Resource Project – The Newcomers Resource Project serves low-income immigrant, refugee and newcomer residents of King County, regardless of immigration status, by providing direct representation by volunteer attorneys for civil legal issues.
- Self-Help Plus – The Self Help Plus Family Law Program is designed to assist low-income to modest-means income clients with uncontested Dissolution of Marriage, Child Support Modification, Parenting Plan Modification and Establishing a Parenting Plan when Paternity has been established cases.
- Volunteer Attorneys for Persons with HIV/AIDS (VAPWA) – The VAPWA program provides civil legal representation, advice, and education to individuals living with HIV/AIDS in King County and Washington State.
- Volunteer Legal Services – Volunteer Legal Services provides direct representation by volunteer attorneys to low-income, King County residents in a broad array of civil legal issues.

We provide volunteer-based, client-focused legal services to primarily low-income residents of King County who would not otherwise receive legal assistance
