King County Bar Association
Pillars of the Bar

Pillar firms are those that support the mission and activities of King County Bar Association through 100% membership among the attorneys in the firm. This kind of support is critical to the Association and, judging by responses to a survey of Pillar Firms, acheiving Pillar status is important to the firms as well

Asked what parts of our mission are most important to them, survey responses, in descending order of importance, were:

  • Promoting professional excellence
  • Strengthening the administration of justice
  • Ensuring the availability of legal services for all persons
  • Increasing public understanding of the law
  • Providing opportunities for professional growth and development
  • Demonstrating leadership in the legal community

Asked why they chose to become a Pillar of the Bar, responses were:

  • Our participation shows support of KCBA
  • The choice ensures our involvement with the local legal community
  • An added chance to network within the legal community
  • Marketing opportunities for the firm
  • Other reasons, including ease of billing process

We are gratified that the Pillars of the Bar program serves the Bar and the representatives of Pillar firms!
