The CLE Department provides several opportunities for vendors and service providers to market their products to attorneys. First and foremost, the mission of the CLE Department is to provide quality education and therefore marketing opportunities are limited.
Information Tables at CLE events: A vendor or service provider may apply for a 6 or 8 foot linen covered information table to be hosted in conjunction with a specific event. Generally only one information table per event will be permitted, depending on the size and character of the program. The vendor or service provider will be responsible for set-up and clean up of their display and any materials. A representative may host the information table, answer questions and offer materials. However, we ask that vendors allow interested attendees to approach the information table rather than the vendors approaching the attendees. Vendors, and product/service descriptions are introduced during the program. Information tables are typically $275 for a half day and $425 for a full day.
Hosting a Social Hour following a CLE program: Vendors or service providers wishing to market their services to attorneys may host a social gathering following a specific CLE event. We ask that any liquor service be provided on a cash-bar basis. Logos, brochures and materials may be displayed and business cards casually provided. In order to host a social hour, the vendor will simply be responsible for setting-up display items and paying for light refreshment. There is no “up charge” or overhead. The cost of refreshment will be passed on directly to the vendor based upon pre-arranged budget limitations. A vendor or service provider might typically expect $375 - $1,000 in refreshment costs depending on venue, size and character of the event.
KCBA reserves the right to turn away potential vendors or service providers when products or services are not complimentary to the proposed program. Any marketing or sales practices that interfere with or detract from the educational elements of a CLE program will be immediately concluded and monies refunded.
