This training is open to any interested persons. However, this training does not satisfy registry requirements for Title 26 Family Law GALs, Adoption GALs, or Dependency GALs. This training does not satisfy the requirements for Initial Certification to the Washington State Certified Professional Guardian Registry. Completion of this Training does not in itself guarantee appointment to a Title 11 registry. Guardianship GALs must meet all application requirements in order to be appointed. Please check with the registry manager in your county if you have any questions prior to registration.
Sign-in and sign-out is required each day. Registration staff is required to withhold certificates of completion for any attendee that misses 15 minutes or more of the training (whether due to tardiness, cell phone usage, returning late from lunch etc.). Registration staff is specifically prohibited from making any exceptions for any reason, even emergencies. Withheld certificates will be directly forwarded to the county registry of choice. Only the Registry Manager in each county may determine the result (if any) of missed time. Please contact your County Registry Manager if you have any concerns or questions.
Also, Any GAL who wishes to remain on the King, Snohomish or Pierce County Registries that for any reason experiences a conflict or hardship that prevents attendance at the Annual Mandatory Training May 5, 2006 must contact the Registry Manager in the appropriate County, explaining the conflict/hardship in order to have the training requirement waived.
