Senior-level business lawyers routinely form, counsel, and close business entities and draft and negotiate agreements that implicate complex intellectual property issues. In this advanced-level seminar, experts in intellectual property law will red-flag the complex IP issues in business formations and transactions and provide practical, in-depth written materials on clearing trade names, IP transfers in mergers/acquisitions, IP issues in boilerplate agreements, latest issues related to domain names, IP valuation and tax implications, and methods for retrieving or protecting IP in bankruptcy proceedings. Working knowledge of trademarks, patents, copyrights, and trade secrets is presumed. This seminar is intentionally shortened to four hours so the intended audience can receive maximum value from the presentation without sacrificing a whole billing day.

Protecting your information from unscrupulous individuals is becoming more challenging and more expensive every day. Tech-savvy individuals are also clever at hiding the information you request in discovery rather than deleting it or shredding it. Did you know that many high school aged young people can hide information so you would see a picture of something like a flower and yet a whole message or messages will be hiding in a pixel? Prepare yourself for some surprising information.
This seminar is designed for the everyday professional with basic computer skills.
All are welcome.
