KCBA manages a variety of special programs to affect public policy and improve the legal profession which are of interest to the public and the legal community. Among them are efforts to promote a public health approach to drug abuse and an examination of the process of selecting judges in the state of Washington. Committees review pending legislation that affects legal practitioners. Annual events such as the Future of the Law Institute for high school students and the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. luncheon address the need for diversity in the legal profession.
Programs for individuals needing legal assistance can be found at Legal Help and on our menu bar.
