WHO WE SERVE
Volunteer Legal Services (VLS) assists low-income, King County residents with civil legal issues in King County.
WHAT WE DO
Volunteer Legal Services provides direct representation by volunteer attorneys to low-income clients in a wide variety of civil legal issues.
VLS screens cases for financial eligibility and legal merit. If found eligible, the program attempts to find a volunteer attorney to handle the case for free.

To be screened for eligibility, call (206) 267-7055 Mondays and Wednesdays 1:00 to 4:00 PM or Tuesdays and Thursdays 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM or e-mail CLS@KCBA.org with "VLS" in the subject Line.
HOW TO PREPARE
Gather all related paperwork.
Decide on the desired outcome or goal.
Identify all deadlines.
Tell the intake screener about these deadlines.
Be prepared to tell the history of your legal issue to the intake screener over the phone.
