Mission Statement: The Bankruptcy Section exists for the education and participation of its members in matters relating to the bankruptcy laws of the debtor-creditor relationship. The section will sponsor and participate in educational and other activities relating to bankruptcy and debtor-creditor issues and will make reports and recommendations to the membership of the section and, as appropriate, to the membership of KCBA concerning such matters.

Activities: The section offers monthly luncheons addressing debtor-creditor and bankruptcy issues for which CLE credit is granted. The section also undertakes special projects on an irregular basis, such as sponsoring CLEs and receptions. In December, the section alternates sponsorship of the Bankruptcy Bar Breakfast with the Federal Bar Association.
