KCBA Supports Improvements to District Court Judicial Appointment Process

In a July 25 letter to the Metropolitan King County Council, KCBA endorsed an ordinance that would update the council's appointment process for judicial vacancies on King County District Court.  The main change from the current practice is that potential appointees must have a bar rating by the time a vacancy is announced.  The measure has been approved by the full council.  A copy of KCBA's letter is online at www.kcba.org/publicpolicy.
