The KCBA New Lawyers Division (NLD) is proud to present a special panel discussion revolving around the Intellectual Property field. This presentation is for new lawyers who are starting their careers in intellectual property or interested in making a change in that direction. The panel will feature speakers with a broad set of backgrounds, including attorneys who work in-house, in private equity, and at firms large and small. The panelists will provide tips for new IP practitioners and lessons from their own experience in the field.

Join panelists Joanne Flack (KCBA IP Section Chair, Rackspace Technology), Kaustuv M. Das (Intellectual Ventures), Kelly Lawton (KCBA Business Law Section Chair, Hughes Media Law Group) and Erin Caldwell (BarkerHostetler) with Moderator David Schleifer (KCBA IP Section Vice-Chair, Davis Wright Tremaine) as they discuss the nuances of Intellectual Property law and how to go about getting started in this fast-paced, ever changing field.
