Overview

In 2018, the CDC estimated that one in every 59 children in the US is born with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Adults with high-functioning autism often encounter difficulties with gaining and keeping employment because of the symptoms of their diagnosis.

This talk will help attorneys understand:

· Major features of autism
· Types of workplace accommodations needed by people with ASD
· Issues that you may encounter in a discrimination case, illustrated with case law

Distinguished Faculty
Chris Rebholz, Psy.D.

Please Note:

If you must cancel, tuition will be refunded less a $10 administrative fee, so long as cancellation is received in writing to CLE@kcba.org by 5:00pm, October 4, 2019. After this date, no refunds will be permitted. However, substitute attendees are welcome.

Please advise KCBA in advance of any condition that may impact your participation at the seminar so we may arrange appropriate and comfortable accommodation in time for the program.
