There was the mother with chronic health issues whose abusive husband threatened to terminate her health insurance. There was the immigrant woman whose husband was physically violent, isolated her from family, and threatened to take custody of her baby. And the mother of eight children who separated from the father when he became physically violent in front of the kids.

These are just a few of the domestic violence survivors whose lives were changed with help from the KCBA Family Law Mentor Program.
