Last summer, at what may best be described as King County’s constitutional convention, a group of approximately two dozen citizen volunteers gathered to discuss proposed changes to the King County Charter. The commission was guided by former King County Executive Ron Sims and former Councilmember Louise Miller.
The ultimate culmination of the group’s effort will be a report with proposed changes to the King County Charter and/or state law. The group’s work is intended to help King County government operate more efficiently and to better serve a dynamic and changing citizenry.
