Judy Lin, senior managing attorney for KCBA’s Family Law Programs, briefed the trustees on the history of the Kinship Care Solutions Project pro bono program, providing background information on the clients served. The program ensures that children who are at risk in the care of their parents have safe, stable homes through custody with caring relatives and other caregivers.
Eligible clients are low-income King County residents and include relatives or other caregivers with a significant relationship to the child. KCBA volunteer lawyers are working on an average of 26 cases annually, cases which can take several months and as long...
