Back in August 2015, the Ghosts of Seattle Past put out a call for submissions about what people missed from Seattle’s past “whether from the last week or the last century.” Some of the submissions were featured in an exhibit at the Center for Architecture and Design last July.
It was interesting to see what people missed and how they felt about change. A lot of it focused on the recent past, such as favorite hangouts that are no longer there. The memories that were collected during this project were published in an anthology that was released in March, which I look forward to reading. It would be an interesting project to repeat in 30 years...
