As a journalistic publication, the Bar Bulletin may have a defensible position against the serial comma. The Associated Press Stylebook is, after all, one of the last authoritative members of team-no-comma. As an attorney, Bar Bulletin Editor-in-Chief Gene Barton’s campaign to eliminate the serial comma puts him in a less enviable position; legal writing experts are in favor of the added clarity it provides, essentially across the board.
