Scheduling Your Summary Judgment Hearing

Are you having trouble scheduling a summary judgment hearing with your assigned judge? Periodically I hear from lawyers that they are unable to schedule summary judgments for when they’d like. Sometimes that lawyer is my husband, which puts me in an awkward position with both him and me. Without attempting to cast blame on either side, I’d like to discuss how we can work together on this.

Before we get any further, let me say that no one can expect to get a summary judgment slot 28 days from their request. When reviewing your case schedule, please take note...
