There are many reasons why people choose to try to represent themselves in Washington trial courts. A small percentage understand it is in fact their right to do so and choose to exercise that right. One might argue that the mindset behind the DIY trend, which has affected so many other areas of life, has also bled over into the courts. If you can install your own hardwood floors, build your own deck or re-plumb your own bathroom, shouldn’t you also be able to manage your deceased father’s probate, modify your parenting plan or handle the review...
