George Harroun had a peculiar working technique which I have never encountered in anyone else. He dictated everything. And I mean everything! I never saw him use a pencil, and he used his pen simply for signing papers and letters. We’d be working on a draft of a document and agree on a minor change. I, and I think most people, would make the change in pencil. Not Mr. Harroun. He’d call in his secretary and dictate the change -- maybe even a single word.
