Do you remember secretary Della Street and investigator Paul Drake in the old “Perry Mason” television series, or Roxanne in “L.A. Law,” or receptionist Lucy Hatcher on “The Practice?” Even though the lawyers were the stars of those shows, even television recognizes that almost every lawyer needs the assistance of excellent non-lawyer staff to succeed. Yet, the King County Bar Association has only lawyers as members, and provides essentially no services to the non-lawyer staff members who are crucial to most lawyers’ success.
