“What are my rights?” This is a question we often hear as attorneys. In fact, in these or other words, it is often the first question clients ask us. And being experts in the law, we know the answer or know where to find the answer. We tell clients their rights and the steps they can take to protect them.
But, is this the first question we should be answering? Should clients immediately move to protect their rights? Certainly in some cases they should, and they should do so in a timely manner to afford the greatest protection.
