Stacey Romberg’s well written “When an Attorney Becomes a Client” spoke to me. Her article discusses a most difficult transition and role reversal from the often dispassionate, in control, advice-giver and tactical commander, probate attorney, to the grieving, sometimes anxious daughter, riding grief’s emotional roller coaster, trying hard to compartmentalize while efficiently and effectively taking care of business. Her later reflections on the process and use of it as a teaching tool for other lawyers, and as an enhancement of her own practice, is a gift we should value.
