As I see it, employees at any job fall into four basic food chain categories: photosynthesizers; ruminants; carnivores; and super-carnivores. Most people believe that their place on this food chain is determined by their job title and/or job description but that is not always true.
Let me begin by defining each category:
(1) Photosynthesizers are the grass and plants of the office world. They quietly go about their business, clearing the air and making things beautiful, but are easy to overlook and unremarkable.
