Mr. Rupp writes in January 1990. Now that my old law firm (McMicken, Rupp & Schweppe when I was a partner there and finally Schweppe, Krug & Tausend) has been dissolved and is no more after 111 years, the Preston, Thorgrimson firm at 107, is the oldest law firm in Seattle and, I suppose, the oldest in the state.1
