Hello, America! What a slog 2021 was! My goodness . . . but hey, everything turned out fine in the end. My folks told me not to worry. These strangers would never punish me for the sins of their community — that’s what my parents said. Still, my heart was racing pretty fast during trial. I even cried a bit when I thought of all the things I’ve heard about prison. But someone heard my prayers, and a jury of my peers acquitted me of murder.
