When Judge Inveen asked me to write a brief article on the latest developments in the Criminal Department of King County Superior Court, it was difficult to know where to start.
As in any large metropolitan court (and King County is now the 13th-largest metropolitan court in the country), there is a tremendous amount going on at any one time. I won’t spend a lot of time on the numerous statewide initiatives that our judges are involved in, other than to acknowledge a tremendous amount of criminal justice activity.
