As I begin my term as president of the King County Bar Association, I am honored to be the fourth member of my law firm, now known as Short Cressman & Burgess PLLC, to hold the office. Tracy Griffin was president of what was then known as the Seattle Bar Association in 1939–40; Kenneth Short served as president of the renamed Seattle-King County Bar Association in 1965–66; while Scott Smith was president of KCBA in 1996–97.
