The Housing Justice Project’s Work During COVID-19

For many of us, the world and our lives drastically changed last March. During the past year, COVID-19 has resulted in historic levels of unemployment, death, and housing insecurity. Like most organizations, the Housing Justice Project (“HJP”) has been forced to change the way it operates. 

Historically, HJP has operated clinics out of Seattle’s Superior Courthouse and Kent’s Malang Regional Justice Center from Monday through Friday. In these clinics, HJP represents approximately 2,500 tenants annually on housing-related matters including evictions, subsidy terminations, repair problems, and other housing-related issues.
