I am accused of being a hopeless optimist by some of my colleagues, because I persist in saying that I can see a dim light at the end of the tunnel. Nationally, coronavirus cases have dropped two-thirds in thirty days, as of this writing. Yes, caution is warranted as new variants pose a serious challenge of a “fourth wave” and vaccine supplies are uncertain.
