As a young man, Mr. B. served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was diagnosed with cancer in the early 2000s, and his wife of 46 years died in 2015. “I kind of went off the deep end after that,” he said in a Q-13 News story that aired November 14. “I was really down and out, started drinking too much and got in trouble with the law.”
